Everything you need to know about getting to us.
The easiest way is by phone on 0711 538549 – during our consultation hours Monday to Thursday, 8:15 AM–12:15 PM and 2:15 PM–6:00 PM. The practice is closed on Fridays.
Your health insurance card, your bonus booklet and – if available – a list of your medications, an allergy passport, and current X-rays from your previous dentist. This allows us to get a complete picture from the start.
Please let us know as early as possible – ideally at least 24 hours in advance. That way we can offer the appointment to other patients who are waiting for treatment.
Tell us – ideally when you book your appointment. We deliberately take more time, explain every step before it happens, and you remain in control at all times. Many of our anxious patients now come to us feeling completely at ease.

So problems don’t arise in the first place.
Bleeding gums are usually a sign of gum inflammation caused by bacterial plaque. Important: Keep brushing – gently but thoroughly, including between the teeth with floss or interdental brushes. This often improves the bleeding within a few days. If it lasts longer than one to two weeks, please make an appointment: If left untreated, the inflammation can develop into periodontitis.
We recommend two check-ups per year. This helps us detect changes early – and the stamp in your bonus booklet secures higher subsidies if you ever need dentures.
For most patients, one to two professional teeth cleanings per year are ideal. The right schedule depends on your individual situation – for example, the condition of your gums. We’ll be happy to advise you personally.
With the right technique, both clean well. However, electric toothbrushes make it easier for many people to brush thoroughly while being gentle on the gums. In any case, daily cleaning between the teeth remains essential.

Quick answers when it’s urgent.
Call us – we will see acute pain patients as quickly as possible. Until then, this can help: cool the cheek from the outside, avoid heat, and if needed take a suitable painkiller according to the package leaflet. Avoid products containing acetylsalicylic acid (e.g., aspirin), as they inhibit blood clotting.
Only touch the tooth by the crown, not the root, and do not clean it. Store it in a tooth rescue box (available at pharmacies) or, alternatively, in cold UHT milk, and come to us or the emergency service immediately. The faster you act, the greater the chance of saving the tooth.
For bleeding: stay upright and bite firmly on a compress or a clean cloth handkerchief for 30 minutes. For swelling: cool from the outside and keep your head elevated. You can find detailed step-by-step instructions on our emergency page.
The Stuttgart Dental Emergency Service Centre, Schloßstraße 74, phone 0711 22058225. You can also find the currently on-duty emergency service near you at kzvbw.de. If you have shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing, or bleeding that won’t stop, call emergency services on 112 immediately.

What you’d like to know about our services.
Thanks to modern local anaesthesia, root canal treatment is generally very manageable today – many patients hardly feel anything during the procedure. On the contrary: it usually puts an end to the pain caused by the inflamed tooth.
Yes. Intact fillings do not necessarily have to be removed – but if a filling is leaking, damaged, or you would like a tooth-coloured solution, we replace it with modern composite fillings that blend harmoniously with your smile. We will advise you honestly on what makes sense in your case.
When carried out professionally and after a prior check-up, teeth whitening is gentle on the tooth structure. It’s important that teeth and gums are healthy beforehand – that’s why every bleaching treatment with us includes an examination and personal consultation.
Modern composite fillings last for many years with good care. Durability depends on the size and position of the filling as well as your daily oral hygiene – regular check-ups help detect small changes early.

Positive experiences from the very beginning.
Ideally with the first baby tooth, at the latest by their first birthday. The first visit is mainly about getting to know each other: looking, counting, being amazed – with no pressure at all. This makes going to the dentist something natural from the start.
Yes. Baby teeth are important placeholders for permanent teeth and are crucial for speaking and chewing. Untreated decay in baby teeth can damage the teeth that follow – so treatment is always worthwhile.
Talk about the visit positively and calmly – avoid well-meant phrases like “It definitely won’t hurt”, which can create worries in the first place. We’ll take care of the rest: with patience, child-friendly language, and at the pace your child sets.
06
Transparency before every treatment.
Statutory health insurance covers check-ups and many basic services. For dentures, you receive a fixed subsidy based on a treatment and cost plan, which we prepare for you before treatment. We discuss anything beyond that openly with you – before the treatment, not afterwards.
With continuous proof of annual check-ups, your fixed subsidy for dentures increases significantly – after five years and again after ten years. Simply bring the booklet to every check-up; of course, we will stamp it. We also support the electronic bonus booklet.
Yes, always. Before any treatment with a co-payment begins, you will receive a clear overview of the expected costs – and we take the time to answer any questions you may have.
Give us a call – we’ll be happy to answer it personally.
